Gaining Ground Youth Services is an intervention/prevention program based in Houston, Texas for youth ages 15-24 who have difficulties or are at risk of becoming violent offenders, drug/alcohol dependent, truant, juvenile delinquent, recidivism, gang affiliated, suicidal and disadvantaged.
Our statement of support regarding black lives matter
Gaining Ground Youth Services prides itself in offering an inclusive and supportive environment for youth of all races and ethnicities. These youth programs help create stronger communities and individuals. However, our communities can’t be truly strong until everyone receives justice and equality. Gaining Ground stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and condemns police brutality, systemic and institutional racism. We must come together, use our voices, and make active change to put an end to the discrimination and inequality that has plagued the Black community. Gaining Ground stands in solidarity with the Black community and the Black Lives Matter movement. We will use our influence to help create positive change and ensure that no voice is left unheard. We are all in this together.
